White sauce pasta is an extremely simple and quick recipe with colorful vegetables like capsicum, corn, sweet corn. It tastes super delicious and takes only 15 to 17 minutes to prepare. We will prepare veggies and sauce in the same pan which would help not to create a mess of vessels. This pasta recipe has a creamy, silky, smooth texture with a soothing flavor. This pasta is perfect for those who like mildly spicy and flavored with herbs dishes.

Ingredients
For Boiling Pasta
- ¾ Cup Penne pasta or any pasta
- ½ tsp. salt
- 4-5 cup water
For Sautéing Vegetables
- 1 tsp. olive oil or cooking oil
- 1 tsp. finely chopped Garlic (Optional)
- ¼ cup chopped carrot
- ½ cup chopped capsicum (Red, Green, Yellow)
- ¼ cup chopped sweet corn
- ¼ cup chopped onion
For White Pasta Sauce
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- 2 tbsp. Maida (all-purpose flour)
- 2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. Grated cheddar cheese / Mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp. Chili flakes
- ½ tsp. Salt
- ½ tsp. Mixed herbs or pizza seasoning
- ½ tsp. black pepper powder or crushed pepper
Recipe Steps
- First, add enough water to a pan and let water boiling
- Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook the pasta for 10-12 minutes or till soft, but not Very Soft
- Immediately transfer cooked pasta in a large colander, rinse with fresh water to stop cooking, and keep aside.
- Heat a pan, add olive oil or cooking oil.
- Sauté garlic on medium flame, add onion and sauté the onions to soften.
- Now add all the veggies and sauté for 2 minutes until they are slightly delicate, now transfer it to a plate.
- In the same pan, melt butter and add Maida, sauté well until the flour loses raw smell and it forms a lumps free sauce
- Lower the flame completely and add milk a little by little to the pan, dissolve the flour completely and keep on stirring to avoid lumps.
- Pour rest of the milk and stir, cook it until the flour combines with the milk and soon the sauce will get slightly thickens
- Now add salt to taste, black pepper powder, Mixed herbs, or pizza seasoning and cheese at this moment.
- Mix well until the cheese blends well. If the sauce coats the spoon, then the sauce is in the right consistency
- If the sauce is too thick, you can add some more milk to bring the sauce in the right consistency
- Add sautéed vegetables and pasta to the white sauce
- Mix the pasta and vegetables to white sauce very well so that the white sauce coats the vegetables and the pasta
- Cook for a minute on low flame
- Switch off the flame, pasta is ready to serve
- Serve creamy and cheesy white sauce pasta warm
Useful Tips And Tricks
- You can use whole wheat pasta to make pasta healthier and kid-friendly
- Do not over-boil the pasta, it could make the pasta completely soggy.
- Maida and butter should be in the same ratio.
- For boiling pasta perfectly, boil enough water in a large pan, if you use a small pan, the pasta will clump together during boiling.
- The white sauce pasta continues to thicken as it cools down, so it is best to serve and enjoy the pasta while it is hot.
- During reheating the pasta, you can add little milk or cream to give richness and saucy texture to the pasta.
