Coriander chutney is known as Green chutney and cilantro chutney. It can be prepared in 5 minutes. This chutney has the perfect chatpata taste, the spicy taste comes from green chilies and is served with pakoras, dhokla, aloo Tikki, burger, chaat, samosa, dosa, sandwich, and deep-fried Indian appetizers.

Ingredients For Coriander Chutney
- coriander leaves and stalks – 2 cup
- Tomato /Tamatar – 1 (medium size)
- mint leaves – ¼ cup (optional)
- Chopped Garlic/Lehsun – 1 tsp.
- Green Chilies/Hari Mirch – 2-3 (or to taste)
- Salt/Namak – ½ tsp (or to Taste)
- Ginger – ½ inch (Optional)
- Lime juice-¼ to ½ (as per taste)
- cumin powder- ½ tsp.
- water -1 to 2teaspoon (for grinding chutney)
Recipe Steps
- Rinse the coriander leaves well with water and roughly chop the coriander leaves with stalks.
- Put all the ingredients along with 1 or 2 tsp. water in a blending jar.
- Blend in a mixer to smooth chutney. Add more water if required for making the chutney but don’t make it too thin or watery.
- Transfer the chutney into a bowl.
- Now chutney is ready to serve.
- Use this green chutney as needed.
Useful Tips And Tricks
- To make the chutney make sure you use fresh mint (optional) & coriander leaves to make chutney.
- Addition of 1 tbsp. roasted peanuts or fried gram helps to makes the chutney thick and it binds the chutney together, water doesn’t separate from the green chutney.
- You can skip garlic if you don’t like just like the raw flavor of garlic.
- Lemon juice maintains the color of the nutritious green chutney. If you skip lemon juice, the chutney will keep it up getting darker.
- You can store this chutney in an airtight container within the fridge for a week.
