How to make Khatta Meetha Kaddu | Kaddu Recipe | खट्टी मीठी कद्दू की सब्जी

The Kaddu is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals and it is also known to improve eyesight, boost immunity. So prepare this lip-smacking dish in 15 minutes. In this post, I am sharing the method of making easy Masaledar Kaddu/ Pumpkin / Sitafal/ Kashiphal Recipe with some tips and suggestions.
Khatta Meetha Kaddu
- 500 Gram Pumpkin (Kaddu/sitafal/kashiphal )
- 1 Green Chilly ( finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- ½ tsp Turmeric (Powder)
- 1 tsp Red Chilly (Powder )
- 1 tsp Coriander (Powder)
- 1 tsp Dry Mango (Powder)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Salt (As Per Taste)
- Coriander Leaves (As Required)
- 2 tbsp Oil
Recipe Steps To Make Khatta Meetha Kaddu
- Remove seeds and pulp from the pumpkin, cut into thick slices and wash well.
- Put oil in a pan and heat it. Put Cumin seeds, asafetida, and fenugreek seeds in the hot oil.
- After the fenugreek seeds turn brown, add green chili, ginger, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Stir the spices with a spoon and now add pumpkin and salt.
- Stir and fry for 2-3 minutes using a spoon. Cover the pumpkin vegetable and cook it on slow gas for 6-7 minutes. If the pumpkin is not cooked, cover it for 2-3 minutes and let it cook again.
- Add dry mango powder and sugar. Mix well. Cover ad cook for a minute. Then switch off the gas and garnish it with coriander leaves.
- Delicious Kaddu/Pumpkin/sitafal/kashiphal is ready to be served.
Useful Tips And Tricks
- You can add raw mango instead of dry mango powder.
- By adding fenugreek seeds, it enhances the taste. It is also good for the stomach
- Add spices according to your taste.
- Serve pumpkin sabzi with hot pooris and paranthas.
